Methods and Solution
The longest avalanche fence of its kind in North America was installed in a very extreme mountain setting – over 2000 meters. BAT Construction was the prime contractor and as a sub Tangiers was instrumental in the ordnance search and disposal, logistics, mountain safety and emergency response planning for this project.
The avalanche hazard was mitigated with the 2000 meter net system. This project spanned over two years and was the largest avalanche net system installed in North America.
