If you do not possess these skills but are still interested, we have a variety of support roles that can lead to advancement opportunities. Mountain Construction Team Requirements
  • Ability to work in harsh mountain weather conditions and still smile
  • Ability to work within a team that can performs near impossible tasks in steep terrain
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team leaders, team members and helicopter pilots
  • First-Aid (Basic, Wilderness, OFA 1,2,3)
  • Fall Protection Training
  • Rope Rescue Training
  • SPRAT/ IRATA (1,2 or 3) or Scaler Experience
  • WHIMIS
  • Current Drivers License (Ideally Class 3,4 with airbrakes)
  • Valid Passport (for overseas work)
  • Complete an in house written test of general mountain construction safety and procedures (We will supply study information)

Note: This is an ideal list. If you don’t have all these, we can work with you to get you up to speed.

Mountain Pneumatic Drilling
  • Ground disturbance training
  • Silica training
  • 500 hours of drilling
  • Complete an in house written test on pneumatic safety and drilling procedures (we will supply study information)
